Top Hotels in Rhodes: Local Picks by Area

These are the hotels I personally recommend in Rhodes, organised by area so you can compare location, style and atmosphere at a glance. It's a short, curated list — the strongest two or three hotels in each main resort — not a mass listing.

Every hotel here is one I recommend on its location, quality and what guests actually experience. If you book through these links I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — prices and availability are always shown live by the booking site.

My top hotel picks in Rhodes by travel style

Before becoming your Rhodes guide online I worked as a hotel guide for a major travel company, visiting hotels across the island every single day. If you already know your travel style, start here. Each card opens that hotel's own page on Booking.com so you can check live prices, rooms and availability for your dates.

How I chose these hotels

Every hotel on this page is one I'd happily send a friend to. I looked at location first — how far the beach, restaurants and bus stop really are — then at the overall experience: rooms, food, service and the atmosphere guests describe again and again.

This page is deliberately short: three or so standout hotels per area. If you want to compare more options, including mid-range, budget and adults-only choices in every area, use the wider Rhodes Greece Hotels guide. If you are still choosing an area, start with the Where to Stay in Rhodes hub or the Rhodes Area Comparison.

Hotels change. Before you book, check the latest reviews, the room type and the exact location on the booking page — a sea-view room and a garden-view room in the same resort can feel like two different holidays.

  • Location matters more than stars: check walking distance to the beach and the nearest bus stop.
  • Southern resorts (Lindos, Kiotari, Gennadi) are roughly 60–90 minutes from the airport — pre-book a private transfer if you arrive late.
  • If you won't rent a car, read where to stay in Rhodes without a car before booking a remote resort.
